SUMMARY:5PM - Beginner Digital Illustration
DESCRIPTION:MONDAY CLASS \nToday we finished our Corgi Puppy project! \nHomework \nDraw another animal using the same process we used in class. \nThis homework is a little harder and might take you a few days\, so give yourself enough time to finish it as best as possible. If you run into any problems\, that’s okay\, just keep going and do your best. Bring your questions to class! \nTo start – Find or Take a photo of an animal you want to draw. \nThen – Open a new canvas\, and make it 2000 x 2000 \n \nStep-by-step: \n\nImport the photo of the animal you decided. \nTransform the image to fill the page nicely\, not too small\, not too big.\nLower the opacity to 40% (it can be higher or lower if you can’t see it)\nNew Layer – Trace the lines of your animal\nImport the same animal image again\, but this time transform it into a small version into the corner. Make sure it doesn’t touch your drawing.\nNew Layer (under the lines)\nUse the magic wand tool to select the sections you are coloring to help stay inside the lines.\nAdd color swatches to your drawing using the color picker and using the little reference picture to grab colors. Make sure to use enough colors for each section. At least 3 for smaller sections\, and more for bigger sections.\nClean up your coloring to make sure everything is inside the lines.\nBlur the colors to make everything smoother. – Use the blur tool\, soft dip brush\, 60% opacity\nAdd any details that still need to be added.\n\nHere’s a VIDEO of our process for the puppy\, to help you with your homework if you want to remember what we did in class.
