DESCRIPTION:TUESDAY CLASS \nToday we started a project to draw a Todoroki character bust (head and shoulders). \nWe started with a circle to lay out the head and face proportions\, and then proceeded to do a rough sketch of the character. \nWe got to finish the Line-Art by the end of class \n  \nHW #1 (this is what I talked about in class) \nPlease make TWO sketches. \n\nUse the HD Canvas (the same one we used in class).\nMake the sketches in two separate files.\nSketch two different characters.\nYou can use any head angle.\nThis is the same as the first step we did in class.\n\nFor sketching: Use a color that is not black. We finished the Flat Colors step\, and started on the Shading. \nHomework \nLook at the two sketches you did\, and choose one you like the best and would like to continue. For the one you chose\, please continue it by doing the Line Art and Flat Colors. \n\nLine Art: New Layer\, Dip Pen Hard brush\, size 5pt\, 100% opacity. Take your time\, and do your best to make it nice. (TIP: Turn down your sketch layer to 50% or less so you can see your canvas better\, and it’s not too crowded)\nFlat Color: Another New Layer. You can use Bucket Tool\, or Brush Tool\, whichever you find the easiest and fun to do.\n\n  \nIf you run into any problems during homework\, keep doing your best\, and bring any questions to the next class so that I can help you solve the problems.

DESCRIPTION:TUESDAY CLASS \nToday we started a new project to draw a bust (head+shoulders/chest) of the character Starfire from Teen Titans\, in a peace sign pose. We spent the class sketching the character\, doing a different head position from the last project (Todoroki) and adding a hand pose. \nHomework \nFinish the lines of the drawing. Please take your time with this step\, doing careful and clean lines. By next class\, have the lines all finished\, so that we can move on to the next step\, which is coloring and shading. \nAll students also fix any iPad screen sharing issues before next class.

DESCRIPTION:TUESDAY CLASS \nToday we finished the Starfire from Teen Titans drawing. We learned how to add shading and highlight to certain sections of color by using different layers and clipping layers to keep our brush strokes inside the lines. \nHomework \nPlease choose another character to draw in the same way we learned in class. Your character can face any direction except looking straight at the camera\, since that’s what most of us did for last time’s homework. Here are the steps to help you keep track of what you should do. \n\nSketching – using a soft and light colored brush\, sketching is used to figure our where all the shapes and features should be without having to be perfect.\nLines – New layer – Go over your sketch with a darker line. This time trying to make things smooth and clean. Use the Undo button or Eraser as you need.\nFlat Colors – New layer for each different section/part. (such as face/hair/clothes/etc)\nShading/Highlight – Selecting the layer/section you want to work on\, add a new layer on top of it\, and click the Clipping button to clip it to the layer below and keep the colors inside the section.\n\n \n\nGood luck!
