Today we continued the Mikey Project. We finished adding the flat colors to the rest of his clothes, and started on the shading. Shaded the boots, pants, shirt, and part of his jacket.

HOMEWORK

We are continuing the Lyn Homework by starting “Step 5: Lines”. By next class, finished the lines for her head, face, and hair. The head and face can be on one layer, but the hair should be on a separate layer. Use your sketch to help you place the lines nicely.

Steps:

1. Make sure all your current layers are at 100% opacity.
2. Merge all your sketch layers together. (except the counting heads layer, that one can just be turned off or deleted)
3. Now that your sketch is all one layer together, lower the opacity of your Sketch Layer to 40% or lower (whatever works for you)
4. Add a new layer.
5. Draw the lines for the head and face. (Dip Pen Hard brush, 1.0-1.5 size, black or almost black color)
6. Add a new layer.
7. Draw the lines for the hair.
