5PM – Advanced Digital Illustration

MONDAY
Today we finished the Mina project. We shaded her hair, added the eye-shine details, and merged some layers together for a more clean finish, and not to have messy layers. YAY Good job everyone.
We also started talking about how a light source creates highlight and shadows for an object, and why it is important for drawing.
HOMEWORK
Continue working on Nephanee from Fire Emblem.
Before the next step, please make sure the joints (elbows, knees, ankles, and wrists) match up with the reference, so that we are starting with a good base with things in the right place.
Next, do STEP 2: BODY of our process for drawing characters. No tracing, just use the reference to look at it for your drawing. Do this on a different layer than the stick figure.
